Autoclaves

HDTS specialise in autoclave repairs with a fleet of rental units available.

We have undergone manufacturers training on all major brands and have access to the top level of technical support available.

Keeping your practice running efficiently is our priority and we do everything we can to achieve this for you.

We will calibrate and validate your sterilisation equipment. Regardless of the make and model, our technicians can validate, service and repair your autoclave to Australian Standards AS4187 and AS4815.

We also cater for podiatrists, medical surgeries and beauty salons and to keep autoclaves functioning and certified.

We come to your premises to service and validate, or we can service it in our Newcastle workshop while we supply you a rental to keep trading.

Once we have serviced the first time, we will contact you to book in your validation appointments well in advance so you never have to worry about being out of certification.

Why Should I Validate my Autoclave?
Validation is a mandatory annual requirement to comply with Australian Standards, as well as Council and State Health Regulations. As an owner and user of an autoclave it is your legal responsibility to ensure that your machine is performing accurately within the manufacturer’s specifications and this performance needs to be checked and validated, preferably using a HDTS qualified technician.

How Often is Validation Required?
Validation is required when installing a new autoclave and at least every 12 months thereafter. Depending on the age or cycle count of your autoclave, service may be required at a more frequent period eg: 6 monthly.

What’s Involved in the Validation Process?
Validation includes calibration and chamber profiling, as well as further testing to ensure that your autoclave is capable of sterilising the most challenging load that you can process in your practice or business.
